Leasing a Mazda is an excellent alternative to buying one outright, as it often leads to lower monthly payments, the ability to drive the newest model releases, and less overall commitment.
Here at Tumminia Mazda, our Mazda finance experts are here to help with your Mazda lease every step of the way. Many of our interested lessees ask whether they can return their leased vehicles early, and while the answer is yes, some stipulations need to be considered.
Military Members and Families
There are a number of reasons why drivers choose to return their leased Mazda vehicles earlier than expected. Whatever reason you have, here is what you need to know.
If you’re an eligible service member, you may terminate your lease agreement prior to the scheduled maturity date without early lease termination charges. As outlined in the Gold Star Military Program, eligible service members and spouses of service members who have suffered death, a catastrophic illness, or injury may be eligible for termination.

Returning 31 Days or More Prior to Maturity
If you decide that you want to return your leased Mazda vehicle 31 days or more prior to the maturity date, Mazda Financial Services will calculate your early return balance. You will then get a Lease-End Invoice 60 to 120 days after you return it, as your balance may be affected depending on if the vehicle is sold at auction. Either way, you will likely be required to pay an early termination fee.
