Spring cleaning can involve more than just cleaning your house. The change in seasons is also an excellent opportunity to get your Mazda car back into top condition.
April is National Car Care Month, and here at our Mazda service center, our mechanics are ready to give your vehicle its spring tune-up. Here are some types of maintenance that Olathe, KS drivers can benefit from during the spring.
Spring Car Maintenance Checklist
Winter in Kansas often involves plenty of snow, ice, slush, and road salt, all of which can take their toll on your Mazda SUV or sedan. Now that you have survived all of these hazards, it’s time to get your vehicle into shape so that it can handle your upcoming summer road trip.
Here are some things that our mechanics will look at during your spring maintenance appointment.
- Tires. By rotating your tires seasonally, you can increase their longevity. Also, changing temperatures can cause fluctuations in tire pressure, so we’ll make sure all of your tires have enough pressure.
- Windshield wiper blades. Your windshield wipers take a beating during the winter months, what with cold and slush doing damage. If they’re in poor condition, our mechanics will replace them so that they can handle the spring rains.
- Brakes. Your brakes take on a larger role during the winter and should be checked to make sure they’re in proper condition. We will check the amount of wear on your brake pads, as well as the condition of the calipers and rotors.
